I had been training for what I thought would prepare me for the Crossfit Open in 2015 and after completing the Open hovering around 800th place I thought to myself “What have I been doing the last 8 months?” That was my wake-up call to get more specific programming and coaching. If I wanted to turn my dream of winning the Crossfit Games into a reality I knew then that I was going to need some help. I have been a member with IPC for almost a year and a half and have participated in the high performance programming from day one. The programming and coaching have completed exceeded my expectations and that is why I plan to continue as long as possible!
I have hit plenty of milestones since becoming a member at IPC whether it be hitting a new PR on my Olympic lifting, a new PR on a specific WOD, or a technical skill I never thought I would be able to do. I think the biggest benefit to me being a member with IPC that it has me in the best shape I’ve ever been in as well as making me a better all-around athlete in my sports.
The community at IPC is incredible. Having such a sporadic schedule some weeks I tend to be in whenever I can get my workout in so I know quite a few members. Everyone is very welcoming and supportive when you are in there working hard.
The coaches at IPC are incredible. Both coaches bring a very different set of skills and knowledge to each session that benefit me as an athlete in many ways. They are always flexible with me and make sure that I am able to get my workout in. I credit them for all of the success I have witnessed within the past year and a half, and would not be close to where I am now without all of their help.
